The quaint mountain village of Ruidoso is an adventurer’s paradise, especially in the winter. From thrilling Ruidoso skiing adventures to snowshoeing expeditions and epic tubing runs, Ruidoso is a winter destination that shouldn’t be missed.

In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know in order to discover the exhilaration and tranquility of Ruidoso in the winter months.

Ruidoso Skiing

Ruidoso has a ski resort and a winter park, both of which are great locations for flying down the mountain as fast as you can.

Ski Apache

  • Address: 1286 Ski Run Rd, Alto, NM
  • Hours: Open daily from 9 AM-4 PM
  • Distance from us: 15.8 miles

The Ruidoso skiing season typically runs from December to March, although this can vary depending on snowfall and weather conditions. Ski Apache boasts a variety of slopes and runs that cater to all ski levels. Whether you’re new to skiing looking to try your hand at a new hobby or if you’re a seasoned ski bum chasing challenging routes, you’ll have a good time at Ski Apache.

At Ski Apache, three factors will affect the price you pay: if it’s a weekday or weekend, how much time you’re at the ski resort, and your age. A 35-year old adult can expect to pay $90 on Thursday, but would need to pay $110 on Saturday. Children and Senior pricing is always lower than Adults. Check out Ski Apache’s website for the specific numbers.
